On Point Cleaning Terms of Service

Service Agreement: This service agreement does not apply for any required length of time. You may cancel your service at any time before 4:00 p.m. the day before a scheduled service.

Non-Solicitation: During the term of this agreement and for a period of two (2) years after its termination, clients will not, either directly or indirectly, hire or solicit to hire any technician assigned by On Point Cleaning.

Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, at least 48 business hours’ notice (excluding weekends) is required or a $49.00 cancellation fee will be issued. We must adhere strictly to this policy in order to prevent lost wags for your cleaner(s). If On Point Cleaning does not receive cancellation notice prior to the cleaning technicians’ arrival or in the event that the cleaning technicians cannot access your home or business due to no fault of their own, a $69.00 Lock-Out Fee will be issued.

Consecutive Cancellations and Home Renovations: Bookings expire after 6 weeks between service (8 weeks for monthly customers).  Post-Renovation rates may apply to the Initial Cleaning after renovation projects on a per-case basis and at the discretion of On Point Cleaning.

Scheduling: To get the service you want, when you want it, please

  • Request new service at least one week in advance of the desired appointment date.
  • Request changes to an existing appointment two business days prior to a scheduled booking.

Security and Access: Estimated arrival times are subject to change at any time, due to unforeseen circumstances and the unpredictable nature of a field service. Lock-out fees may be avoided by providing us with a key or the code to an electronic lock or lock-box.  Keys and/or codes provided will be secured when not in use. We do not recommend leaving doors unlocked or hiding a key on site and we will not be held liable for any third-party damages or theft to a client’s home or property as a result. If On Point Cleaning is unable to access your home or business upon arrival, due to no fault of their own, On Point Cleaning reserves the right to bill wait time at our current hourly rate.

Payment Problems: In the event a credit card payment is denied, a twelve percent (12%) finance charge will be added and will accrue monthly. In the event a check is returned due to insufficient funds, a service charge of $25 will be applied to the customer account. Accounts with open balances are suspended until payment is received in full.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Preparation Prior to Cleaning Service: We do not have requirements for getting the home ready for a cleaning service. After all, we are here to lessen your workload.  Still, any tidying or picking up done prior to our arrival allows for less focus on arranging and more attention to detailed cleaning.

Safety Precautions: For everybody’s safety and to prevent potential accidents, please

  • Notify us of, and secure all delicate valuables.
  • Inform our office of any pest infestations or contagious illnesses of which any member of the household has had symptoms.
  • Secure all firearms prior to cleaning service appointments.

Temperatures: Your cleaning technicians are performing physical labor that can dramatically increase their body temperatures. In order to keep them safe and ensure labor efficiency please maintain the indoor temperature between 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit during the cleaning services.

Minors/Children: If a minor is present in the home during services, an adult guardian must be present.

Pets: Furry friends are welcome to roam the house while we clean. However, some animals can be territorial or protective by nature and may behave in a threatening manner when cleaning technicians arrive, particularly when the owner is not home. In such cases, our technicians will be sure to communicate any discomfort and we ask that appropriate accommodations are made so that the cleaning service can be completed safely and effectively. Please crate all pets known to exhibit aggressive behavior or attempt to escape.

Pests: Part of our commitment to nurturing a safe and healthful workplace is staying clear of potential health risks associated with pests. Feces, such as rodent or roach droppings, as well as other animal remains are bio-hazardous. On Point Cleaning does not currently partner with any bio-hazard remediation or restoration services.

Note: In the event that technicians are not able to work without distractions that affect their ability to progress at the normal pace, On Point Cleaning reserves the right to charge for any extra time spent in the client’s home in order to complete the service.

Health and Safety Limitations:

  • Our cleaning associates tackle many strenuous tasks. However, to protect their safety and yours we will not commit to plant care, pet care, child care, moving or lifting items over 50 pounds, or climbing higher than a standard step stool.
  • Due to health and safety concerns, technicians are unable to clean blood, excrement, or hazardous chemicals.
  • Every effort is made for the cleaning technicians to work safely, but we cannot assume liability for the safety of others while cleaning your home or business.
  • If for any reason a technician with On Point Cleaning feels that their personal safety is in danger due to actions by the client, the client’s guests, or the client’s animals, which results in the technician leaving the job site, the client will be liable for the full cost of the service.

Photos:  We reserve the right to photograph written correspondence to log in the client’s file.  Any publicly published images will not reveal the identity of the property or the client without formal written permission from client.

Assignment and Survival: This Agreement is binding upon the Client and the Contractor and their respective successors and assigns.

Governing Law: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without giving effect to the choice of law or conflict of laws principles thereof. All actions, claims or legal proceedings in any way pertaining to this contract or such transactions shall be commenced and maintained in the courts of such state or in a federal court of the United States physically situated in such state and in no other court or tribunal whatsoever and the parties hereto each agree to submit themselves to the jurisdiction of such court.
